Pastor stabbed and left for dead returns to pulpit
Christian Web News - A Detroit area pastor who was stabbed over thirty times and left for dead this past summer, has returned to the pulpit to share his testimony.

According to reports, an intruder broke into Rev. Kevin Ramsby's home around 3am on August 4th. Ramsby's wife, Sarah, and their two children were out of town at the time of the attack. The pastor had also been out of town but had returned home ahead of his family. The altercation that ensued left Pastor Ramsby unconscious with many severe stab wounds. The perpetrator then left him for dead.

“With nothing less than what we know to be the strength and power of the Lord, when the intruder went to another room of the house, Pastor Kevin came to and miraculously gained strength to get himself out of the house and crawl to his neighbors who quickly responded to his cry for help,” reported staff at Pastor Ramsby’s Assemblies of God church shortly after the incident.

Highland Park police and medical emergency teams arrived on the scene and rushed Pastor Ramsby to a nearby hospital, where he underwent immediate surgery. He had sustained injuries and lacerations to his back, face, neck, and abdominal areas, but fortunately suffered no damage to major arteries or to his lungs.

Though the reverend arrived in critical condition, his condition was upgraded to stable after about eight hours and doctors were reportedly able to repair the intestinal damage that he sustained.

Pastor Ramsby said it was God who saved his life that night.

Pastor Ramsby was released from the hospital on August 18th and has since been recovering in an undisclosed location while the police searched for the suspect.

According to reports, police have identified the attacker as 41-year-old Wesley Mclemore, who is still at large.

Though the attacker nearly killed him, Pastor Ramsby said he has forgiven his attacker and would not mind meeting to pray with him once he's arrested.

Revival Tabernacle Church founder Tim Dilena said Pastor Ramsby's message is something many in the church and community need to see.

"When you've gone through something that we have gone through, you begin to see things in a different light," Pastor Ramsby told the congregation at Revival Tabernacle Church in Highland Park, on Sunday.

"There are so many others hurting in our community, not just because of violence, with the economy and layoffs and jobs," he added. "The message I am sharing today is a message of God's faithfulness."

Living A Christ Life

Redeemed From The Curse Pt. 1
Redeemed from the Curse Pt. 1
Christian Web News - Galatians 3:13-14.  Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree''), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Something to Think About: Sin
Something to Think About: Sin
Christian Web News - Often when we talk about sin, we use lots of examples such as abortion, homosexuality, murder, substance abuse - I could go on and on. However, I want to direct this little three letter word to the Christian who is serving God and can tell a sinner all about his or her sin. We use to call it “pointing the finger”  at someone who does so many bad things.
