An 8-year-old boy over the weekend dies in the church elevator shaft which is now being investigated by Kentucky State Police.
According to KY Police the boy was found pinned in an elevator at First Christian Church in Sturgis Kentucky around 8 p.m. CDT this past Saturday. So far police say no foul play is suspected but the investigation is still on going.
Kentucky Union County Coroner Stephen Shouse identified the boy as Zachary Waddell. According to Shouse that Zachary died as a result of compression asphyxia, which is he couldn't breathe after the elevator came down on him. The Evansville, (Ind.) Courier & Press reported that Shouse is actually a distant cousin of the boy's mother.
The Rev. Nate Harper of First Christian Church told the local newspapers that the accident happened as a wedding reception for the boy's grandmother was winding down and requested prayer for the family.
Christian Web News - Jesus has a way of getting right to the point, doesn't He? There was certainly no mincing of words, He came right out and said, "why are you fearful?" and then went on to say, "O you of little faith." You don't have to read between the lines to see what He was saying, they had little faith.
Christian Web News - Galatians 3:13-14. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree''), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
