In hopes of seeking a safer future, more than 100 Iraqi Christians and other refugees have came to Germany.
Christian Web News - In hopes of seeking a safer future, more than 100 Iraqi Christians and other refugees have came to Germany.

On Thursday, some of the adults had tears in their eyes as they got off a plan from Syria that landed in Hannover, Germany.

Single mothers and their children, and several sick people were among the group of about 120. One sick child had to be taken to receive medical attention.

Iraq's Christian minority has faced years of violence and intimidation from Islamic extremists. Most of the refugees are Christians, but other religious minorities are included.

By the end of the year, hundreds more refugees are to come to Hannover in asylum program arranged by the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees and the German government
