Christian Web News - So, it's illegal to buy beer in Cullman County, but yet a preacher is talking about the delicate subject of S-E-X on Sunday morning?
Daystar Church pastor Jerry Lawson's monthlong focus on sex has run up against some opposition in Good Hope -- a conservative north Alabama community. Some people are upset over the church's billboards, which advertise the sermon series and accompanying Web site.
Lawson says the purpose of his sermons and the signs is to get Christian parents talking to their kids about sex before they learn too much immorality from TV or playground buddies.
When Lawson arrived nearly nine years ago, Daystar was a country church. In 2002, the church "relaunched" itself in the pattern of an urban megachurch.
What do you think of Lawson's focus on sex? Feel welcome to comment and share your thoughts.
Christian Web News - Jesus has a way of getting right to the point, doesn't He? There was certainly no mincing of words, He came right out and said, "why are you fearful?" and then went on to say, "O you of little faith." You don't have to read between the lines to see what He was saying, they had little faith.
