Another member of the heavy metal band Korn has overcome drug addiction by becoming a Christian.
Korn is a secular American metal band from Bakersfield, California. (They are not a chrisitan band by a long shot)
Korn’s bassist, Reginald Arviz (who calls himself Fieldy) will release his book, “Got the Life: My Journey of Addiction, Faith, Recovery and Korn” on Tuesday.
He says before he gave his life to Christ he was a mean addict and womanizer who quit drugs. His heart changed when his father, a born-again Christian, told him his dying wish was for his son to find God. So, Fieldy quit cold turkey. He says that Jesus Christ and the Bible were his only rehab, and the change in his life is “an amazing and powerful thing.“ He is now married with three children and working on a new album with Korn and his side project, Stillwell.
In 2005, Fieldy’s former bandmate, Brian “Head” Welch, left Korn after becoming a Christian.
Christian Web News - Jesus has a way of getting right to the point, doesn't He? There was certainly no mincing of words, He came right out and said, "why are you fearful?" and then went on to say, "O you of little faith." You don't have to read between the lines to see what He was saying, they had little faith.
Christian Web News - Galatians 3:13-14. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree''), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
