Christian Web News - According to police in Lincoln, Nebraska, a man posing as an armored car guard made off with more than $145,000 from a church.
On Wednesday, Police Officer Katie Flood said that a man dressed as a guard walked into the financial office of the Berean Church on Tuesday and told an employee he was there to pick up the weekly deposit.
The employee said the man appeared to know what he was doing, so she gave him the deposit of more than $145,000 in cash and checks.
About 15 minutes later, the real armored car and driver arrived and church employees realized they had been robbed.
Officer Flood said no one saw what vehicle the fake guard used.
The nondenominational Berean Church has more than 7,000 members and 20 pastors.
Christian Web News - Jesus has a way of getting right to the point, doesn't He? There was certainly no mincing of words, He came right out and said, "why are you fearful?" and then went on to say, "O you of little faith." You don't have to read between the lines to see what He was saying, they had little faith.
