Hindu Militants and Police Attack Christian Woman |

A Christian woman was attacked by Hindu militants, on Thursday, January 17th, just outside the city of Ullal. What is even more shocking is that the police, who were supposed to help her, attacked her as well. The woman was waiting for her husband at a bus station when the owner of a nearby shop asked what her name was and if she was a Hindu. The woman responded that she had converted to Christianity 15 years ago. The shopkeeper then signaled other people in the area who proceeded to beat her. According to the report, when the police arrived, they also beat the woman and detained her at the police station. Superintendent of police, N. Satish Kumar, has confirmed the reports and stated that the deputy superintendent would be conducting and inquiry and that action will be taken against the responsible parties.
