During a press conference at the 2009 National Religious Broadcasters Convention, President and CEO of the NRB, Dr. Frank Wright voiced his concerns about what changes in Washington could mean for the future of religious broadcasting.

“We believe that the shift in the political landscape has enormous implications for the free proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have said in our meetings thus far that many of the threats that we’ve talked about such as fairness doctrine, or hate crimes, or localism, or the Employment Non Discrimination Act; all these things that advance an agenda contrary to the scriptures, these have been threats that for years have been, you might say, on distant horizons. Dark clouds on distant horizons. But with the change in the political landscape, and the domination of the Congress of the United States and now with the change in the White House, the domination of the administration and the administration agencies, we are facing a new day. And we’re facing a day that is going to be challenging for us to continue to maintain the ability of Christian broadcasters to freely proclaim the Gospel.  That is, by the way, the core principle of the NRB. Our mission is to maintain access to electronic media for the gospel.”

“The day has come when we need to say. We will preach the gospel of Jesus Christ whether some government makes it illegal to do so or not.”

Dr. Wright then announced the NRB’s unanimous decision to adopt a Declaration of Unity in the Gospel in order to re-establish who the NRB is and what they stand for. Later in the evening, the declaration was read to the entire convention. Watch the video of Dr. Frank Wright reading the Declaration of Unity in the Gospel.

Why Are You Fearful?

Why Are You Fearful?
Christian Web News - Jesus has a way of getting right to the point, doesn't He? There was certainly no mincing of words, He came right out and said, "why are you fearful?" and then went on to say, "O you of little faith." You don't have to read between the lines to see what He was saying, they had little faith.

Redeemed from the Curse Pt. 1
Christian Web News - Galatians 3:13-14.  Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree''), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
