Spreading the Gospel Through Social Networks
Social networking sites are becoming increasingly popular.  It seems like everyone is on Facebook or Myspace these days. These site can be a powerful tool for spreading the Gospel. Here’s a few tips from the National Religious Broadcasters Convention about using social networks.

Social Networking is actually nothing new; we’ve been doing it for thousands of years. Internet is just a new tool.

Social Networks aren’t just for teenagers anymore. The fastest growing demographic for social network users is age 30 to 55. The second fastest is age 55 and over!

Social Networking is TIME CONSUMING. You need to assign someone on your staff to constantly update and monitor your page. It is better to not have a page at all than to have a page that is only updated once every few months. Someone must also be monitoring comments because eventually, someone, somewhere will think that leaving inappropriate comments is funny or someone will get angry and leave an angry rant. Finally, someone must be responding to comments and messages. You can’t have Myspace and/or Facebook page and not expect people to come to you looking for the answers to their problems. If you don’t respond in a timely fashion, people will think that you don’t care.

Finally, don’t use your website to drive traffic to your Myspace/Faceboook. Use Myspace/Facebook to drive traffic to your website. Once people log in to that social networking site, they’re unlikely to return to your website because there are so many things to do on social networking sites.

Too often Christians are wary to jump in on a new technology or trend. This means that by the time Christians do get involved, the world has completely dominated that culture. It’s time for Christians to stop sitting back and waiting to try new things Jump right in  for the sake of the Gospel.

Living A Christ Life

Why Are You Fearful?

Why Are You Fearful?
Christian Web News - Jesus has a way of getting right to the point, doesn't He? There was certainly no mincing of words, He came right out and said, "why are you fearful?" and then went on to say, "O you of little faith." You don't have to read between the lines to see what He was saying, they had little faith.

Redeemed From The Curse Pt. 1
Redeemed from the Curse Pt. 1
Christian Web News - Galatians 3:13-14.  Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree''), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
