Millard Fuller, founder of Habitat for Humanity, dies at 74
cwnewz.com - Tuesday, the millionaire entrepreneur who gave it all away to help found the Christian house-building charity Habitat for Humanity, Millard Fuller, died at the age of 74. It was around 3 a.m. when he died after being taken to a hospital emergency room, according to his wife, Linda. The cause of death was not immediately known.

In a telephone interview with Dorie Turner, Linda Fuller said her husband was complaining of chest pains, headache and difficulty swallowing.

One of Habitat's highest-profile volunteers, former President Jimmy Carter, called Fuller "one of the most extraordinary people I have ever known.

"He used his remarkable gifts as an entrepreneur for the benefit of millions of needy people around the world by providing them with decent housing," Carter said in a statement. "As the founder of Habitat for Humanity and later the Fuller Center, he was an inspiration to me, other members of our family and an untold number of volunteers who worked side-by-side under his leadership."

He ran Habitat for Humanity with his wife for nearly three decades, but then lost control of the charity in a conflict with its board. When ousted in January 2005, he and his wife vowed to continue working on housing the poor and started The Fuller Center for Housing to raise money for Habitat affiliates.

Fuller's works won him numerous accolades, including a 1996 Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor. He was the public face of Habitat for nearly three decades, traveling the world to hammer nails and press bricks from local clay alongside some of the Earth's poorest.

Fuller is survived by his wife and four children. Funeral arrangements are pending.

Living A Christ Life

Redeemed From The Curse Pt. 1
Redeemed from the Curse Pt. 1
Christian Web News - Galatians 3:13-14.  Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree''), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Something to Think About: Sin
Something to Think About: Sin
Christian Web News - Often when we talk about sin, we use lots of examples such as abortion, homosexuality, murder, substance abuse - I could go on and on. However, I want to direct this little three letter word to the Christian who is serving God and can tell a sinner all about his or her sin. We use to call it “pointing the finger”  at someone who does so many bad things.
