Do You Have Enoughcwnewz.com - DO YOU HAVE ENOUGH OIL? The parable in Matthew 25:1-13 talks about the 10 virgins waiting for the bridegroom.  There were 5 wise and 5 unwise. The way the world is today, these scriptures fit rather well.

The church is now eagerly waiting to meet Jesus but we, as the church, are just like the ten virgins. Half of us are the 5 wise while the other half of us are the 5 unwise.

The oil here represents the Spirit of God AKA the Holy Ghost as was given to the 120 on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2:4 which says: Act 2:4 and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance...  We, the people of God, are the lamps. I, as a Holy Ghost filled child of GOD, have a responsibility to let my lamp shine no matter what life circumstances I am going through.

Mat 5:14 ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Mat 5:15 neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Mat 5:16 let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

All you have to do is read the paper or watch CNN, MSNBC or Fox News and you will see how close we are to the return of Christ for his church. We have to keep our lamps burning bright and have plenty of oil. To do that, we have to be full of the Holy Ghost and let him shine through our words, actions, attitudes!

The scripture says that the 5 unwise came with no oil (Mat 25:3) but in (Mat 25:8) it says they asked the 5 wise to share their oil they had let their own lamps go out. Which tells me that they had some oil at some point but not enough to last, it was just enough for a season.  The bridegroom did not arrive in the time frame in which they had expected, which is evident by the amount of oil they brought.

So the part of the church that represents the 5 unwise have the Holy Ghost but they are not doing enough with it to sustain them. They are still whining and complaining about how life is treating them bad. Every time you see them they have something negative to say. We need deal with them as the wise did to the unwise and tell them to move on and go find their own oil because there’s nothing we can do to prepare them.

If we’re not careful, we can get so wrapped up with their situation and before we know it we will be just like them. The church does not have time to baby sit those who only want enough God to get by on. If we spend our time doing that, we risk the chance of missing out with the bridegroom ourselves. We do not have the luxury of time with the way the world is currently progressing and at the rate it is progressing.

We have to be like the 5 wise, keep ourselves full of oil at all times, keep a watchful eye and guard our hearts and minds. Christ is looking for those who have been wise and have kept enough oil. The Bible tells us that we don’t know when he’s coming back, but rest assured that time is drawing closer every day.  Mat 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Why Are You Fearful?

Why Are You Fearful?
Christian Web News - Jesus has a way of getting right to the point, doesn't He? There was certainly no mincing of words, He came right out and said, "why are you fearful?" and then went on to say, "O you of little faith." You don't have to read between the lines to see what He was saying, they had little faith.

Redeemed From The Curse Pt. 1
Redeemed from the Curse Pt. 1
Christian Web News - Galatians 3:13-14.  Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree''), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
