 In a world of uncertainty, confusion, chaos, and fear, one thing we can always put our trust in is the unchanging, all powerful Word of God. Men make promises of change they cannot keep. More often than not the change they do promise is not for the better and brings people into bondage. But God is faithful! He remembers His promise to His chosen and hastens to perform it. His Spirit bears witness with our spirit that His word is true. God’s Word is the foundation that we stand on; a firm foundation stone that cannot be moved. Jesus told us a house built on the rock can withstand any storm or situation that comes our way; and make no mistake; the storms it will come. That which is built on sand (promises of men) will not stand but will be swept away by the storms (hurricanes) of life that come our way. .
The Bible is a history book. It is a record of God’s dealings with man. The Prophet Daniel spoke of increased travel and education in the last days. I dare say those days are upon us. We have the internet, blackberries, cell phones, satellite communications and space travel just to name a few advancements. But what good are all of these tools without the wisdom to discern the information flowing thru them. We discern and live in fear of the weather forecast but we do not discern the times we are living in. So many today are paralyzed by fear of what‘s going to be. God’s Word breaks that spirit of fear and causes us to go forward in faith in spite of what we see and feel in the natural.
In these times of crisis let not your heart be troubled. Jesus has overcome this world for us and spoke of the days we are living in. So be of good courage! Be revived, renewed, and refreshed; for this day every weapon of Satan is already defeated. Put on the whole amour of God and put the devil on the run. Read God’s word! Speak His word! Prophecy to the wind! Desire spiritual gifts for the book of Acts is still open and His church is leaving in power. In this opening letter I just want to encourage you in God’s word. God promised to shake the heavens and the earth and after the shaking only which is built on His Word will remain. His kingdom cannot be shaken. The gates of hell cannot prevail against the church (out called ones); Now is the time, my friends, to be encouraged in the Lord and walk on the water like Peter. It is time to launch out into the deep. It is time to say “so be it according to Thy Word.” Psalm 33:18-19 says: “Behold the eye off the Lord is upon them that fear Him, upon them that hope in His mercy. To deliver their soul from death and to keep them alive in famine” Meditate on the se scriptures and what God has said and done and is still doing today. I will revisit and expound them in the future.
