Indiana’s “In God We Trust” plates are constitutional according to the Indiana Court of Appeals ruling on Monday.
Appeals court upheld an earlier trial court judgment against the ACLU of Indiana that claimed the motorists who ask for God plates would get special treatment because they don’t have to pay a $15 administrative fee charged for specialty plates. The court affirmed Indiana offer two alternatives to standard license plates and the fee structure for the plates “uniformly applicable to all similarly situated license plates.”
Specialty license plates for organizations under the Indiana state stature requires a $15 administrative fee.
Attorney General Steve Carter said, “The display of our material motto, ‘In God We Trust,’ on state license plates has found deep support among our fellow citizens.”
“So often when there is a reference to a supreme being in the public arena, objections are made. With the court’s ruling, those objections have failed and the Legislature’s will has been sustained.”
Christian Web News - Jesus has a way of getting right to the point, doesn't He? There was certainly no mincing of words, He came right out and said, "why are you fearful?" and then went on to say, "O you of little faith." You don't have to read between the lines to see what He was saying, they had little faith.
Christian Web News - Galatians 3:13-14.
