We have an account of a demon possessed man in the eighth chapter of Luke.

Most of us have read, or heard of the Gadarene demonic's healing.  The scriptures tell us after Jesus had cast out the devils, sending them into the swine (about two thousand), the men that fed them ran and told it in the city and in the country.  And all went out to see what had happened

Lk.8:35-37 Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, setting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.  36) They also which saw it told them by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed.  37) Then the whole multitude of the country of the Gadarenes round about besought him to depart from them; for they were taken with great fear:  and he went up into the ship, and returned back again.

I have often wondered why the people ask Jesus to leave, seeing a great miracle had just occurred.  History shows us many times when such a great miracle occurred, revival broke out, but not this time. Why?  Look at the account of this in Luke 8:35-37AB And (people) went out to see what had occurred, and they came to Jesus and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right (sound) mind; and they were seized with alarm and fear. 36) And those (also) who had seen it told them how he who had been possessed with demons was restored (to health.)  37)Then all the people of the country surrounding the Gerasenes' district asked (Jesus) to depart from them, for they were possessed and suffering with dread and terror; ......

These people ask Jesus to leave because they were possessed and suffering with dread and terror!  There are those who are oppressed and possessed with devils don't want to be free.  This is so hard for us to understand, but God still has a plan for them.
According to Luke 8:37 Then the whole multitude of the country of the Gadarenes round about besought him to depart from them; for they were taken with great fear: and he went up into the ship, and returned back again.  Jesus left, the place that he was not welcome.  Read on in verse 38-40 Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he might be with him:  but Jesus sent him away, saying, 39) Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.  40) And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him.

Now, do you see this?  Are you hearing what the word is saying?  Do you see what our ministry is?  The man that was bound with demons was set free, it was his time to go and tell every one he could, in his own city, what Jesus had done for him.  If you remember, they all ask Jesus to leave, but when the man went back and lived his miracle everyday, they could not deny what Jesus had done.  So when Jesus returned, the people gladly received him:  for they were all waiting for him.

Jesus came to earth, He did many miracles, He taught us His way, gave us His word, died for our sins and rose again for our eternal salvation, so that when He returns, as He soon will, many will receive Him, because they accepted Him as Lord, after you shared your testimony.  Testimony: say it, live it, and exalt Jesus at all times, you are making a difference in lives every day.  Don't be moved by what you see, just be moved by faith in the mighty name of Jesus.  It's working!!!!!
