Vandals delivered a particular message in an attack on Christ Lutheran Church. “I hate God” ****** God” “It’s all lies.” Vandalism is always senseless and pointless. The church at 467 E. Colome Street, Chippewa Falls, WI. was the victim of vandalism sometime over the past week according to Chippewa Falls Police Department report. The words were spray painted in blue on the wall outside the church building. This wall is not normally visible during the normal activities at the church because it is a wall between the church and the school.
According to Pastor Mark Homp a quilting bee group of ladies had gathered at the church and they were able to see the message through a window. Homp said parishioners would be cleaning up the damage with a pressure washer. The police were notified and asked to have extra patrol in this area. The pastor said vandalism was clearly not just an attack on the church but on God and his people. “It seems to me that it’s a dark spirit that is working here. It was a clear attack on Christianity and what it stands for. Somebody has an agenda,” he said.
CLC church has been victimized by vandalism in the past experiencing the kind of vandalism that any home or business might. Last year, some of the windows were broken but this time vandalism is different said Homp. Perhaps this is not surprising considering religion is under attack in our society. “Without a doubt our prayers this coming weekend will be for changes in the hearts and minds of someone who would do such a thing. They are hurting,” said Homp.
Christian Web News - Jesus has a way of getting right to the point, doesn't He? There was certainly no mincing of words, He came right out and said, "why are you fearful?" and then went on to say, "O you of little faith." You don't have to read between the lines to see what He was saying, they had little faith.
Christian Web News - Galatians 3:13-14. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree''), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
