My church has a group of twenty-three who are part of a mission team.  The team is on Dolphin Island in Alabama this week teaching Vacation Bible School, and doing all sorts of creative ministry and one on one witnessing.  So far there have been four people who have accepted Christ as their personal Savior.  What a wonderful blessing for our team.

My Brother-in-law is in Peru for about the fifteenth time with a mission team.  He plans to stay about three weeks this trip.  His team helps build churches, helps in an orphanage as well as many other things, including the one on one witnessing.

Lastly, There are four women in my office who are out on mission trips this week. Three are with my church group, the other is with another church in our association who are in Eastern Kentucky for the week.  They are working on homes in Appalachia and doing various types of missions.

Not all of us can go out on mission.  Family and work obligations keep us at home.  Does that relieve us of our responsibility to go?  No, it doesn't.  If we work outside the home, it's highly likely that we work around and with non christians.  It is our duty as followers of Christ to share the Good News with them.  This is how we go on mission.

Yes, we must be careful how we share as well as when we share.  Taking into consideration our employer and careful to be ethical in our approach when using their time to witness.  Remember, we have breaks and lunch breaks that we could possiblely use as a time to share Christ.

Let's not forget about family members too.  If we know someone in our family who isn't a Christian, maybe now is the time to share with them.

Mission teams are trained to watch for opportunities to share Christ.  Those of us at home should also be looking for opportunities to share Christ.
