The Convention’s Cooperative Program is the central focus in enabling the 36,000 plus SBC churches to accomplish missionary and evangelistic work throughout North America and around the world.  Contributions to the program are crucial for the work to continue as most of the churches, small and large, feel this is the best way for them to carry out their God-given commission.  The leadership of the Convention has been urging churches, especially larger congregations, to increase their giving in order to keep up with the growing demands to share the gospel.
