The recent findings from the opinion poll of the Washington-based PEW Institute for Public Opinions suggest that there is a growing demand for the separation of religion and government in Pakistan.
The survey of 47 countries further suggests that there is a growing belief among the population that religion and politics must not be mixed.
Another survey found that in 2002 only about thirty-three percent of Pakistanis were supportive of the separation of religion and government. However, in 2007 that support has increased to forty-eight percent suggesting strong influence of western ideologies.
Of the 47 countries surveyed, the vast majority (74%) expressed a belief that education is important for both boys and girls and a majority state that both men and women are equally qualified for political leadership.
In Pakistan eighty-two percent indicated that trading ties with other countries is good with two-thirds of them indicating that it was “very good.”
Christian Web News - Jesus has a way of getting right to the point, doesn't He? There was certainly no mincing of words, He came right out and said, "why are you fearful?" and then went on to say, "O you of little faith." You don't have to read between the lines to see what He was saying, they had little faith.
Christian Web News - Galatians 3:13-14.
