The Bishop of Stafford has suggested that churchgoers celebrate Anglicanism and to make known what God has done and is doing for them in Jesus Christ, but to also agree to an honest self-assessment of where they stand with Jesus. |

The 35th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s historic Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion on demand in America is January 22nd, the celebration will not be celebrated by Southern Baptists. The celebration instead will celebrate the fact that due to hundreds of crisis pregnancy centers across the U.S., which are supported by SBC churches approximately 3500 babies were spared from abortion during 2007. Plus around 5,000 women accepted Christ as their savior because pregnancy staff members shared the Gospel with them. |

Hot temperatures and high Santa Anna winds whipped into a frenzy of wildfires in California. The results were some of the worse conditions as 880,000 people were evacuated and more than 1,500 homes and business destroyed. Donnie W. Smith, executive director, division of care and Tim Hill, second assistant overseer responded to meet the multiple needs created by the wildfires. |

Southern Baptist Convention’s domestic mission agency, The North American Mission Board (NAMB) intends to certify as many as 500 new apologetics instructors, charging them to defend the truth and credibility of the Christian faith. “Apologetics is an area that has been largely neglected in Southern Baptist life and the CAI (Certified Apologetics Instructor) program is a tool to help turn that around, “said Mike Licona, director of apologetics for NAMB. |
