 Bolivia has annual flooding and it is expected to continue through April. This year's high waters over the last four months have killed over 70 people and affected 94,000 families. Said to be the worst flooding the country has experienced in a quarter century. |

February 13th Dr. Graham underwent a surgical procedure to help drain the excess fluid from his brain.
Dr. Billy Graham recently had a procedure done in the Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C. where doctors installed a new valve in a shunt designed to drain excess fluid from his brain. The new valve was an update to a shunt installed at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., in 2000 to alleviate the condition hydrocephalus, which is a buildup of fluid within the brain that can cause symptoms similar to Parkinson’s disease. |

Another terrorist attack occurred against innocents in Algeria--this one, like most in recent years, was the work of the North African section of al Qaeda. The Algerian people are trying to move past a bloody 15-year Islamic rebellion that has claimed as many as 200,000 lives there. While the government continues its fight against al Qaeda and other Islamic armies, another battle is being waged- -this one for the hearts and souls of Algerians. |
