No one should be allowed to serve more than two terms. In fact, I would like to see a 1 term of 6 years for all elected posts. That would keep these people from gaining too much power as they are doing at this time.

I totally agree. There should be limited terms in all phases of government. As we have seen, those that have been in for many years have become corrupt and know how to use the system to their personal financial advantage. It is time the elected work for the people rather than having the people work for the government! Interesting how there are waivers around the constitution now, and total ignoring of the peoples and states constitutional rights. We must fight to save our country. The 10th Amendment protecting state rights from government control is a good beginning. Get involved at the state level as well!

hey that's not a bad idea, you're absolutely right, however, what if that person is doing a superjob, would you like to see that person go out of office?, the 6 years length of term makes them responsible for their actions too i agree. Then you can make an ammendment that if 75% or whatever percentage want to elongate the persons office yeah why not, he can be on the ballot too :)

I agree that term limits should be set on all congressional leaders, and on the president. They obtain too much power and power breeds corruption. We are seeing enough of that these days.
